The Citizen-led Future (CLF)
The Response: The Powerless Many come together, become the Empowered Many and create a new operating system for humanity.
The Citizen-led Future is an umbrella term for a new operating system for humanity.
CLF starts with us as individual citizens, spreads to communities, then nations and eventually across the globe.
This post introduces you to the concept and explains how you can help take it from potential to possibility, probability, inevitability and then reality.
And in the process elevate yourself from a person rendered powerless by the old system to a leader who helps bring about peace in the world.
What is the Citizen-led Future?
The Citizen-led Future is the inversion of Strongman governance:
- the Powerless Many become the Empowered Many
- together they envision a desired future
- they hire aligned Peace Leaders (politicians) to move the country toward the desired future
- because everybody is aligned, there is no disconnect and the need for enforcers is much reduced.

In short, it is a reinvention of the purpose and role of government. Government exists to assist the nation's citizens vs. the nation's citizens exist to support government.
It is the embodiment of government of the people, by the people, for the people.
What's needed?
You might be saying, "How on earth are we going to do that?
There are 7 elements necessary to be successful:
- A Collective Vision for the Future - that needs to be aspirational, such as (in the case of the USA): “We, the people of the USA, choose to lead the world to peace, opportunity and wellbeing for all by 2040. We are held as the model of good governance both domestically and among the international community."
This provides the general aspirational starting point from which citizens walk back to reinvent the governance systems. - Lots of people - it can't really be called citizen-led if there aren't lots of people! This of course is GenR. This is the first big advantage of the powerless many - numbers.
- Different consciousness and knowledge - it is never going to work if those people are of the same "us and them" mentality as that encouraged by existing political systems. Agreeing on where we as a community/nation/world want to evolve to requires stepping back from current conflicts and focussing on those aspirations we have in common. As Jimi Hendrix (yes!) said:"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world shall know peace".
- Infrastructure - a place where people can come together to learn and reinvent the rules without confrontation. Nor can the infrastructure be top-down, algorithmically-driven or owned by a 3rd party - so for example the infrastructure can't be a specialist Facebook group nor a government initiative. It needs to be an initiative for citizens, by citizens and owned by citizens. Again, one of the roles of GenR Rising is to provide this.
- New Systems/Rules aligned with the Vision - this is hard work. Letting go of the old and designing the new. An adversarial (party) approach won't work and where the different consciousness, knowledge and creativity afforded by a new group of people pays dividends.
- Implementation of the New Rules - up to now CLD has been a creative and intellectual exercise; this where the rubber meets the road. The transition between the old systems and the new is probably the most difficult part of the CLD process.
- Next Generation Aligned Leadership - this process is going to create a new generation of leaders - Peace Leaders.
You've realized this not a quick fix. It will take years to bring the world to peace, opportunity and wellbeing for all. So there is one more necessary ingredient:
- It has to be fun - Strongman leadership is low vibration and fear-based. The CLF, Peace Leadership and POW4all is high-vibration and love-based. That's why there are uplifting songs as One More Thing on every post. And why the central energy of the CLF journey is "Love, Fun, Together".
As more countries adopt citizen-led concepts and more citizens realize they can lead peacefully, top-down, power/money/war-driven governance structures will weaken and disintegrate. And not before time.
So there is an alternative - all it needs is us to start now. To misquote the Tao te Ching: "A journey of a thousand miles needs a roadmap and begins with a single step..."
The Roadmap is here. Click the "I'm Ready" button to take the first step.
Imagine
Sit back, close your eyes, take some deep breaths and let your imagination take hold.
You are living a fulfilled life; your physical, ego and spiritual selves are in balance. You no longer live in fear and judgement like you used to; rather your days are filled with appreciation and enjoyment.
You see how people in your community have transformed from being divided to more harmonious.
You see how people in your country are pulling together towards their common benefit rather than seeking to gain advantage over one another.
And you see how countries are at peace, they cooperate rather than be in competition.
And you see how, because of citizen leaders like you, a world of peace, opportunity and wellbeing for all has emerged.
You have pulled humanity back from the precipice of extinction.
Give yourself an internal smile, take a few more deep breaths and open your eyes.
Welcome back!
One More Thing
In the '70s I was into the Isley Brothers, especially their 1973 album 3+3 which added a new generation to their sound and expanded it greatly. I think I wore the vinyl out I played it so many times.
in 1976 they brought out Harvest for the World which reched #1 on the US R+B chart. The message of the title track is the same message as this site:
All babies together, everyone a seed
Half of us are satisfied, half of us in need
Love's bountiful in us, tarnished by our greed
When will there be a harvest for the world?
A nation planted, so concerned with gain
As the seasons come and go, greater grows the pain
And far too many feelin' the strain
When will there be a harvest for the world?
Gather everyman, gather everywoman
Celebrate your lives, give thanks for your children
Gather everyone, gather all together
Overlooking none, hopin' life gets better for the world.
Dress me up for battle, when all I want is peace
Those of us who pay the price, come home with the least
Nation after nation, turning into beast
When will there be a harvest for the world?
The song has been covered many times. One of my favourites is by Andy Vargas (ex-Santana) and his band Souleros which adds a lovely Latin flavour to the song.
Finally, we can create a harvest for the world.
So, are you ready?
